Venice police and multiple agencies are investigating a threat made against the Jewish Community Center on Auburn Road.

According to the Venice Police Department, the center received phone calls threatening to "kill everyone." Police said the threat is being taken seriously, but it currently appears to be limited to the phone calls.

Venice Fire Rescue and the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office are assisting at the scene.

No injuries have been reported, and no suspect has been identified at this time. Authorities have stated that the scene remains active and are requesting that people avoid the area.
