A crash in Charlotte County has left one person dead and caused lane closures.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident occurred at the intersection of Northbound Tamiami Trail and Forrest Nelson Boulevard near Carousel Plaza. Currently, the northbound lane is closed as the Florida Highway Patrol investigates the scene.
