Tajze Battle has been sentenced to 25 years for his role in the Club Blu shooting that occurred nearly a decade ago. Battle pleaded no contest to his charges.

The decision was made Friday morning.

Battle was one of five individuals accused in the shooting. Three suspects, Demetrius O'Neal, Derrick Church and Dontrill Loggins, still need to appear before a judge.

Kierra Russ, another suspect, already went to trial in 2022. She was convicted and sentenced to life for acting as a lookout and signaling other members at the club.

There is ongoing courtroom debate over evidence, including body camera footage. The judge has not made a decision on this matter yet.
